Hunting Licence Information

 

* Please note that the following information was gathered from the Ontario Hunting Regulations Summary booklet *

 

To Obtain a hunting license in Ontario, you must have one of the following:

1. If you are a resident of Ontario:

a) An Outdoors Card (Hunting).

If you are a resident of Ontario, but do not have an Outdoors card, you can apply for one by doing the steps below:

You must fill out an application for the Outdoors Card (Hunting) and submit one of the following to the Ontario Outdoors Card Centre.

- An Ontario resident's license to hunt issued to you after January 1, 1968.

- An Ontario Hunting License Examination Certificate issued to you after January 1,1968.

- An Ontario Hunting License Verification Certificate showing that were issued a hunting license as a resident or that you passed the Hunting License Examination.

2. If you are a non-resident of Ontario:

a) An Ontario non-resident's hunting license issued to you after Jan. 1,1968.

b) A hunting license issued to you by a competent authority in any jurisdiction as a resident of that jurisdiction after January 1, 1968.

c) An Ontario Hunting License Examination Certificate issued to you after January 1, 1968.

d) An Ontario Hunting License Verification Certificate showing that you were issued an Ontario license to hunt or passed the Hunting License Examination.

e) A certificate issued to you after January 1, 1968 , by a competent authority in any jurisdiction, giving you permission to purchase a resident's hunting license in that jurisdiction.

f) An Outdoors Card Hunting (issued only when qualified as a resident).

 

License Issuers:

License Issuers are located throughout Ontario, at convenient locations such as sporting good stores, hardware stores, and tourist camps.

License Issuers in Shining Tree are located at: Ronda Camp, Shining Tree Tourist Camp, and Spruce Shilling.
